Cascadia Rising exercise underway

Mason County Emergency Operations Center was activated on Tuesday for the Cascadia Rising earthquake and tsunami exercise, which this week involves the Washington National Guard, county and city law enforcement nd first responders.

BREMERTON, Wash. (AP) - A small earthquake struck the Kitsap Peninsula a few miles east northeast of Bremerton.

The Pacific Northwest Seismic Network says the magnitude 3.3 earthquake hit at 12:20 p.m. Wednesday.

Its epicenter was about 12 miles (19 kilometers) deep.

There were no reports of immediate damage.
