HOOD CANAL — The Hood Canal Ranger District is planning a forest cleanup day to celebrate National Public Lands Day on September 22.

This year marks the 25th anniversary of National Public Lands Day, a day set aside for outdoor enthusiasts to give back and enjoy their favorite outdoor places.

Volunteers are invited to come to the Hoodsport Work Center, 150 Finch Creek Road, in Hoodsport for a brief safety message, pick up supplies and break into teams for the “Clean up Your Forest” event.

To participate, go to https://www.fs.fed.us/working-with-us/volunteers to download a volunteer agreement to fill out and mail to the Hood Canal Ranger District, PO Box 280, Quilcene, WA 98376 or email the form to Nicole LaGioia at nllagioia@fs.fed.us
