OLYMPIA - If you’re mulling over your career path, recent data released by the Washington State Employment Security Department may be able to help put you on a path. The state recently released figures pertaining to the top 25 occupations and top employers in Mason and Thurston Counties.

Where does the data come from? The agency says the reports are based on the Help Wanted OnLine data series from the Conference Board, which provides a measure of real-time labor demand gathered from online job ads. 

Registered Nurses and office supervision/support staff are the top 2 occupations in-demand in Mason County according to the following data release by ESD:

According to research, the top three employers in need of a workforce are the State of Washington, Mason General Hospital and Mason County in Mason County:

This year’s annual revision includes updates to the job board coverage, a revision of the historical data from May 2005 forward, a complete historical update of the Metropolitan Statistical area definitions, and the annual update of the seasonal adjustment factors.
