OLYMPIA — The Washington State Department of Health has taken disciplinary action against a message therapist residing in Mason County.

In June 2019, the Massage Therapist Program charged massage therapist Amanda Marie Krupp with unprofessional conduct.

Krupp allegedly didn’t comply with a stipulation requiring her to refund money to a client, complete continuing education, and pay the program $250 for cost recovery.

Health care providers charged with unprofessional conduct have 20 days to respond to the Department of Health in writing. The case then enters the settlement process. If no disciplinary agreement can be reached, the case will go to a hearing.

The department’s Health Systems Quality Assurance Division works with boards, commissions, and advisory committees to set licensing standards for more than 80 health care professions.

At time of publish, a call to DOH officials for more information was unreturned.
