SHELTON — Harold and Marian Greenberg, former owners of KMAS Radio, recently died.

The Greenbergs purchased KMAS from Bruce Jorgenson in 1988.

For the project he earned the prestigious Crystal Award from the National Association of Broadcasters.

Marian was deepy involved with the Mason General Hospital Foundation, often volunteering for their events, including the Annual Fantasy Forest celebration.

The Greenbergs spent their retirement years closer to family in the Seattle area and last lived on Mercer Island.

Before they left Shelton, the Greenbergs sold KMAS to Dale Hubbard and Jerry Eckenrode in 2006.

I am saddened to read of their passing, but look what a wonderful legacy they have left for us. We can only hope to continue their love of Shelton.
