LACEY (AUDIO) — Holy Family School, a private catholic Pre-8th grade school in Lacey at 2606 Carpenter Road SE, are set to begin construction on a new Early Childhood Development Center in August. The remodeled development center will be attached to an existing building on the school’s campus, with plans of opening during the 2019-20 school year.

Holy Family School Principle Monica Davis told iFIBER One News that the development center will allow two-and-a-half to five-year olds stay up to 10 hours a day on school grounds.

The remodeled development center will feature new bathrooms and tile floors, opening up additional space for children.

Davis says the cost of the remodel is around $25,000, and is fully funded through a grant received from the Fulcrum Foundation.

The Fulcrum Foundation leverages financial assistance to support and strengthen Catholic schools in the Archdiocese of Seattle.

Davis says the new development center will help ease burdens for families in the community.
