Since the last release (7/24/2020), Mason County Public Health was

notified of Twenty (20) additional Mason County residents that

tested positive for COVID-19. This brings the total to One hundred

thirty (130) positive cases in Mason County. Mason County Public

Health is continuing contact interviews. The patients are currently

isolating at home.

There are no current outbreaks to report, many positive cases are

within the same family or multi-family household. Mason County

is testing at more than twice the rate than during April peak. Case

numbers represent specific individuals not the number of tests that

an individual may have had. In some cases, Mason County staff

will receive case information prior to Washington State Dept. of

Health. This can result in discrepancies when reviewing data from

multiple agencies.
