OLYMPIA — A man in his 20s fell from the 4th Avenue bridge late Thursday night and was critically injured, police said.

Lt. Paul Lower with Olympia Police Department said there was no sign of foul play involved in the fall at about 11:30 p.m. that left the man unconscious on the ground under the bridge’s west end.

“He was with others who described him as falling off” the bridge, Lower said.

The police spokesman said Olympia Fire Department emergency personnel treated the man at the scene and transported him to Providence St. Peters Hospital in Olympia.
