SHELTON — A motorhome and garage were destroyed and a home was damaged in a fire in the Timberlakes community.

Mike Patti, Central Mason Fire & EMS deputy fire chief, said two people living in the home on Lakeshore Drive East escaped unhurt.

The cause of the fire was still under investigation Monday.

Patti said the fire broke out at about 9:30 a.m. in the motorhome in a garage and then started to spread to the home, which received damage to its attic.

Another vehicle in the garage also burned, according to Patti.

Besides Central Mason, fire districts 4 and 11 responded to the scene. Mason PUD3 turned off the power to the home and Mason County Sheriff’s Office also assisted.
