OLYMPIA (VIDEO) — The 62nd Capital Lakefair will be in full swing starting Wednesday and running through Sunday night in Olympia’s Heritage Park.

The event raises money for scholarships for young women who participate as the festival’s royalty. It climaxes at dusk Sunday night with a fireworks show.

Lakefair Week offers activities for all ages. Many are open daily at the park including carnival rides and games, non-profit food concessions, entertainment main stage and more.

Other special events include the car show, basketball tournament, battle of the bands, seniors' day and kids' day.

A Lakefair highlight is the Grand Parade rolling down Capitol Way and 5th Avenue starting at 5 p.m. Saturday evening.
