OLYMPIA — Olympia police report a string of recent car burglaries, many of which involved stealing items left in plain sight around downtown Olympia.
Olympia police Lt. Paul Lower reports that 14 vehicle prowls were report this month.
“In multiple cases, suspects stole property they could see by shattering windows, including purses, a laptop and a handgun,” Lower stated.
Another burglary involved a care left unsecured for only 20 minutes, according to Lower.
“It doesn’t take a thief long to grab and go,” Lower said.
