8:35 a.m. UPDATE: Washington State Patrol Public Information Officer Chelsea Hodgson said the collision involves two vehicles and their two drivers.

"One driver was SB on SR 101, lost control and rotated into the path of a NB vehicle," said Hodgson via twitter.

SHELTON — The Washington State Patrol are investigating a two-car fatality collision that occurred on U.S. Highway 101 near Shelton Matlock Road Wednesday morning.

Washington State Patrol Public Information Officer Chelsea Hodgson said the northbound lanes of 101 at Shelton Matlock are blocked with traffic control in place.

"We appreciate your patience as we investigate this tragic scene," said Hodgson via twitter.
