Tivoli Foundation at the Capitol in Olympia.

Olympia -- Work to repair the ring that shines LED lights on the historic Tivoli Fountain will take place on the West Capitol Campus Dec. 9-12.

The work will have minimal impacts on pedestrian traffic and no impact to parking. The fountain will be drained so workers can access circuit boards in need of repair or replacement due to a weather related power surge on the Capitol Campus in 2018.

The campus fountain is a replica of a famous Roman-style fountain located in Tivoli Park, Copenhagen, Denmark. The fountain was donated to the state by the Olympia-Tumwater Foundation and dedicated in April 1953. A project that updated the fountain’s operational systems to use less water and energy took place in 2017.
