WENATCHEE - A coyote went for quite the ride after it was found lodged in between a car grill and a front bumper on Wednesday.

According to a post made by Brooks Davenport Facebook, a woman that worked next door to his Wenatchee-based business hit the coyote while driving south on SR 2 between Orondo and Wenatchee Wednesday afternoon.

He says when she went to check for damage, she could see the animal's extremities sticking out of the front bumper. Apparently, the animal had gone through the air scoop when it was struck.

The Wenatchee Valley Humane society stepped in to help extricate the animal which was still alive but injured with a broken leg.

The incident was apparently the strangest animal-related ordeal the Wenatchee Valley Humane Society had ever seen.
