TENINO - A suspected drunken driver’s car fell casualty to a moving train near Tenino Saturday night. KIRO 7 reports that it happened at around 10:30 on SR 507. The driver reportedly missed another motorist, hit a stationary train and got out of the vehicle in time before the car was crumpled by a second moving train, the car stuck below the vessel’s undercarriage. KIRO 7 reports that the woman the driver nearly hit, was waiting with him when his car was struck.

That woman, is Kierra Moore of Olympia.

“This accident was insane. I was driving home and the guy who crashed went right in front of me. It was one lane each way and I was just about to turn the corner when a car went flying like 10 feet in front of me. There was a parked train and he went straight into it, I turned around to see if he was okay and he was tumbling out of his car and then came and sat down on the gravel and as I’m on the phone with 911 another train comes and crushed his car,” she told our news partner, Thurston County News, Scanner & Weather Blog.

41-year-old Michael Keith Goodwin is being held in the Thurston County Jail without bail. No one was hurt.
