Apple Cup

PULLMAN- Any good fan of the Washington State Cougars or Washington Huskies will circle the Apple Cup on their calendar. It’s time to take out your calendars and flip ahead to November, because the day and time for the annual showdown between these two rivals has already been decided.

Thursday, the Pac-12 released days and times for several games. One of the games to have a day and time decided on was the Apple Cup.

It’s the Huskies time to host the Apple Cup, which will be on Friday, November 29 at 1:00 p.m. The Huskies haven’t lost to the Cougars in Seattle since 2007 and have won the last six games between these two in-state rivals.

A few other games were announced for each team.

The Cougar’s first three games have a day and time. Their first two games will be at home, the opener against New Mexico State will kick off Saturday, August 31 at 7:00 p.m. The second game, against Northern Colorado, will be on Saturday, September 7 at 2:00 p.m.

Their third game will be at a neutral location on Friday, September 13 at 6:15 p.m. against Houston. Despite it being a neutral location, it will strongly favor Houston, with the site of the game being NRG Stadium in Houston.

The Huskies will play their first three games at home. They’ll open against Eastern Washington University on Saturday, August 31, kick off at 12:00 p.m. The next team to come up to Seattle will be Cal and that game will be on Saturday, September 7 at 7:30 p.m., it also marks the first conference game of the season.

The Huskies will host Hawaii on Week 3. That will be on Saturday, September 14, at 4:30 p.m. Washington has five teams determined, with its matchup with Oregon State having a day and time set. That game will be Friday, November 8, at Oregon State at 7:30 p.m.
