Good idea. There is no avoiding the fact that we have issues that need to be addressed and like it or not, that takes money. Grants are useful and appreciated, but a steady stream of income is required to meet day to day needs and annual budget requirements.

Is there a reason Alder from !st to 7th is not repaired? How many years has it been since it was prepared for asphalt/chip seal and then left unfinished?
The only safe place to cross railroad on foot is at the 4th street light. When visiting downtown stores, I will often park in Evergreen Square then cross at the light to visit stores on the other side of Railroad. Finding parking on Cota or side streets can be difficult.
When I can see there is a lot of traffic at the light on 1st and Railroad, I'll turn early and catch the light on 4th. Guess that's the end of that. I'll have to go up to 7th. And all I'm trying to do is get my mail.
